About Us
Department of Inclusive Education
The Department of Inclusive Education was established within the Maldives Ministry of Education in 2019 to expand access and equity in education. The department aims to ensure children with disabilities and special needs have the opportunity to develop their full potential. They develop policies, programs, curriculum, and standards related to inclusive education. The department provides training for teachers and administrators to build more inclusive learning environments. They also conduct awareness programs to promote the rights and dignity of students with disabilities. The Department of Inclusive Education strives to transform schools in the Maldives into centers of education excellence for all children regardless of their background or abilities.
