The 'Capacity Building Program for Maldives SEN Teachers' at KIU University in Sri Lanka has concluded successfully.

38 educators from 23 schools across multiple atolls, along with 2 officials from the Department, participated in the program.

Held from February 9 to 14, 2026, the program aimed to strengthen professional competencies in inclusive education through current knowledge and practical skills. The curriculum covered early identification of Autism and ADHD, effective classroom management, and collaborative methods for engaging parents and multidisciplinary experts.

Participants attended academic lectures and workshops, and gained field experience through visits to clinical settings and inclusive education centers.
