Department of Inclusive Education commenced an orientation program on the revised Inclusive Education Policy and Monitoring Framework aimed at Inclusive Coordinators of Maldives has commenced today.
Inclusive Coordinators of schools of Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, Noonu, and Raa atolls took part in the session today.
Today’s session was graced by the presence of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Ahmed Ali.
Speaking with the participants, Permanent Secretary Mr. Ahmed Ali noted the importance of creating awareness regarding the Inclusive Education Policy before the new academic year. Mr. Ahmed Ali also called all Inclusive Coordinators to work together to create an inclusive school culture in the Maldivian schools. He also encouraged the Inclusive Coordinators to work with the resources they have to create an inclusive school culture.
The program which will run for three days will throw light on the new Inclusive Education policy, and the monitoring framework of Inclusive Education in the Maldives.
