Department of Inclusive Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services and Tree House International, organized a comprehensive one-day training program targeting teachers and parents of students diagnosed with autism and ADHD. This initiative sought to equip participants with valuable insights and knowledge pertaining to these developmental conditions.

The seminar session for parents had the distinct honor of hosting the esteemed presence of Vice President of the Maldives, Honorable Faisal Naseem. During his address to the participants, Vice President Faisal Naseem emphasized the Maldivian government's unwavering commitment to the advancement and well-being of individuals with disabilities. He underscored the provision of free therapy services in the Maldives while acknowledging the need for continued efforts in developing comprehensive support systems for individuals with disabilities.

The four-hour seminar session for parents focused on crucial aspects such as the identification of autism and ADHD, as well as evidence-based treatments for these conditions. Esteemed experts Dr. Anton James and Chrystal "CJ" Honsaker facilitated the session. Dr. James, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Chartered Psychologist, is the distinguished Founder and Director of Tree House International. Chrystal "CJ" Honsaker, an esteemed International Behavior Analyst and Clinical Coordinator at Tree House International, brought her wealth of expertise to enrich the training experience.

Similarly, the four-hour seminar session for teachers delved into the effective management of problem behaviors commonly associated with autism and ADHD. Dr. Anton James and Chrystal "CJ" Honsaker, both highly regarded professionals in the field, facilitated this enlightening session, providing teachers with valuable insights and practical strategies to address the challenges they may encounter in the classroom.
