Capacity Building of Secondary English Language Teachers in Teaching Students with Complex Learning Profiles training sessions conducted in Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu Atoll
A specialized training program aimed at enhancing the capacity of secondary English language teachers to effectively teach students with complex learning profiles was recently conducted for educators from Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu Atoll schools. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Education, the Maldives National University and the World Bank's Atoll Education Development Project.
A total of 50 teachers participated in the training sessions, which focused on inclusive pedagogy and supporting diverse learner categories. The program emphasized contemporary instructional methodologies and included a session on identifying educational habits. Additionally, it highlighted evidence-based strategies to improve teaching effectiveness.
This initiative underscores a commitment to elevating the quality of education by equipping teachers with the necessary skills to address the diverse needs of their students.
