Department of Inclusive Education concludes the orientation program on the revised Inclusive Education Policy aimed at school principals

Department of Inclusive Education concludes the orientation program on the revised Inclusive Education Policy aimed at school principals.

The online closing ceremony took place this morning was graced by the presence of Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Ali.  Speaking with the participants, Minister noted that, the establishment of the Department of Inclusive Education and the revision of the Inclusive Education Policy in 2020 proves the dedication the current government has towards providing education to every child of the country. 

Minister Dr. Aishath Ali said that she hopes that with such training programs, the Maldivian education system would see key concepts such as the Universal Design for Learning and Co-Teaching being implemented.

The two week long orientation program was joined by 211 principals of schools across the country.

Participant of the program, the principal of GDh Atoll Education Centre, Mohamed Shifaz assured that, the principals of the schools would work towards achieving the target of providing education to all.

The orientation program covered the basics of inclusive education along with the revised Inclusive Education Policy.
