Mainstream Teacher Training Program run by Department of Inclusive Education concludes

The mainstream Teacher Training Program run by the Department of Inclusive Education concludes today.
The closing ceremony held online was graced by the presence of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Ahmed Ali.
Speaking with the participants, Permanent Secretary assured that, all students with complex learning profiles will be catered accordingly, even during the online classes conducted during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to that, Permanent Secretary also mentioned that, such best practices are practiced as a result of similar training sessions.
A total of 200 teachers and leading teachers of the foundation stage, keystage 1 and 2, from 66 schools across the country took part in the training program.
The training program was conducted with, Ms. Aishath Laqeeba, leading teacher of Seenu Atoll Maradhoo School, Ms. Mariyam Shathrath Shakir, leading teacher of Ameeniya School and Ms. Sharafiyya Ali Fulhu, SEN teacher of Lhaviyani Atoll Education Centre being the key facilitators.
The training program ran for a total of 2 weeks with all 200 participants being divided into 4 groups with each group attaining 2 days of training. In the training, the participants were given information regarding, ways to implement a successful inclusive education plan in the mainstream classes
