The closing ceremony of the Training of Trainers on Universal Design for Learning program has been held.
The online ceremony was attended by Minister of State for Education Dr. Abdulla Rasheed.
The training program was conducted jointly by the Department of Inclusive Education, UNICEF Maldives and CAST from October to December 2021.
CAST designed the three-month training curriculum to address the Maldives' most pressing requirements. In this sense, the training program emphasized the need of removing some of the barriers in the educational system and creating a learning environment that is welcoming to all students.
Three members of the department's technical staff and one TOT from each atoll attended the training program.
