A symposium titled Transformational Leadership for Equity and Inclusion has been held for senior officials Noonu Atoll.
The two-day symposium highlighted the opportunities and challenges faced in implementing the policy of inclusive education for all students. Participants were also briefed on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and the department's data management system Fahivashi portal.
Participants were also briefed on the services provided by the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) and the inclusive concept “Shaamilu Rashthaa: Baaruveri Zuvaana” which is carried out to empower students.
In addition to information sessions, a panel discussion was held to highlight the importance of the multi-sectorial collaboration as part of the inclusive education policy for all students. Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education Ahmed Mujahid, officials of Maldives Police Service and NSPA were part of the panel.
The keynote speech of the session was delivered by Dr.Fathimath Nishan.
