The technical team of the Department visited Amilla Maldives, Maldives' first accessibility and inclusion resort.

The initiative aimed at fostering inclusivity and accessibility. The visit served as an opportunity for the team to gain invaluable insights into incorporating new measures to build an inclusive community, and it proved to be an overwhelming success.

During the visit at the invitation of Amilla Maldives Resorts and Residences, the technical team of the department closely examined the accessible resources and services of the resort and held discussions with the resort staff on how to create an inclusive environment in the Maldives. A session of services provided by the department was also conducted.

A tour of various services provided for guests with disabilities including sensory rooms for children at the resort also conducted during the visit.

We would like to thank the management of Amilla Maldives Resorts and Residences on behalf of the department for giving this opportunity to the technical team of the department.
